EarthFirst Canada Inc. (EarthFirst) (TSX:EF, EF.WT) announces in accordance with its formal review of the Company’s strategic alternatives which is being conducted by Blair Franklin Capital Partner’s Inc. with GMP Securities L.P., that the final bids are due on December 18, 2008. Bids should be submitted no later than 5:00 pm EST to Blair Franklin.

As previously disclosed, EarthFirst submitted three bids into the BC Clean Power Call on November 25, 2008. Bids were submitted for the 156 MW Dokie Expansion, the 62 MW Wartenbe and the 113 MW Sundance Projects.

The Dokie Expansion and Wartenbe Projects received environmental assessment certificates from the British Columbia Environmental Assessment Office in August and October 2006, respectively, and have also been issued License of Occupation tenures to the Project Crown Land by the province of British Columbia.
